In his role as Founder and CEO of Cue Ball (www.cueballdigital.com), John has advised on and brokered hundreds of cross-border licensing, partnership, and M & A deals around the globe. He has extensive media operating experience as Publishing Director of Women’s Sports, Managing Director of International for Rodale, and in a variety of key roles in sales, marketing and publishing management positions at Ziff Davis, CBS and Rodale.
John holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University. He is an avid endurance runner, cyclist, mountain biker, skier, and fly fisherman … and is passionate about the environment, animal rights, education, and design.

Andy has deep operating experience in business-to-business media and has held key positions such as CEO of Summit Business Media and President of Thomson Media. Andy has special expertise in business information, restructuring/bankruptcy, digital media, events, data and reference publishing and has also headed up several acquisition programs in partnership with private equity firms such as Windpoint Partners, Spire Capital and Shamrock Capital. Andy holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from New York University and is an avid skier and sportsman.

Mike has led numerous international licensing initiatives throughout Latin America, Spain, Portugal, India, Japan and Korea and has held operating roles such as Publisher for Bicycling Magazine and Associate Publisher for Runner’s World. Mike worked with his John Cabell in the original development of Rodale International. Mike holds a BBA in Accounting from James Madison University. He speaks Spanish and reasonable Portuguese. He has been a board or advisory group member of many non-profits and bicycle advocacy groups.

Jim is a media executive with over 17 years in conference development and management, 30 years total experience in print, online and live event platforms. Jim is a hands-on operating executive equally comfortable with both strategy development/implementation as well as tactical planning/execution and excels in new product development, product launch, and product re-invigoration. The founder of an events management business, Jim has also held key roles at Summit Business Media, Source Media and McGraw Hill.
Jim graduated Le Moyne College, is active in the Society of Independent Show Organizers and American Business Media and is a consummate wine expert.

J. Sperling Martin
Sperling is a data architect and expert in designing advanced information solutions that deliver measurable value. His expertise is in content management solutions, data and text analytics tools and advanced access enabling services that rely on innovative content classification techniques. Involved in many high-level projects, Sperling developed natural language processing systems at the National Security Agency, National Science Foundation and the Federal Trade Commission.
Other recent projects include rich media content architectures, content management systems, taxonomies and other advanced content categorization solutions. Early in his career, Sperling directed pioneering efforts in Computer-aided Legal Research for Aspen Systems Corporation. Among other recent positions, Sperling was VP for Technology Planning at Thomson-Reuters. Sperling has an MS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
