Bank Street Media Group is a corporate development firm for the media industry.  The Bank Street team consists of a cadre of seasoned media professionals who all believe that corporate development should consist of actionable activities which either add directly to your bottom line or if to overhead for a discreet, limited period of time (say, for a review of an acquisition target).  We work with clients on a project basis, retainer or daily basis with the goal of creating collaborative and long-term working partnerships.

What exactly do we mean by media these days?  The traditional tripartite of print + websites + conferences has given way to ever-evolving formats such as content marketing, native advertising, data, virtual trade shows, events/award functions microsites, social networking and eLearning.  More than ever, today’s media companies need to stay nimble through new organic product development, acquiring businesses and talent and finding new ways to monetize existing content. 

As we see it, corporate development initiatives often fall outside the range of day-to-day operations and most media operating teams are already running lean.  Fewer and fewer media companies have fully-staffed Corporate Development divisions and we don’t think that’s a bad thing.  Corporate development activities can and should be the drivers for growth of any organization, and our clients hire us to maximize their outreach while minimizing expenses associated with keeping these activities in-house.
